Terica Peay named Assistant Athletic Director for Communications at Albany State

Albany, GA – Albany State University Director of Athletics, Dr. Kristene Kelly, has announced the hiring of Terica Peay as the new Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications, effective mid-May. With extensive experience in athletic media relations and communications, Peay will play a pivotal role in enhancing Albany State’s digital media efforts and strategic communication initiatives.

“I am excited for this new opportunity and look forward to starting a new journey with Albany State. I am eager to join the team and contribute to our success through impactful work,” said Peay. Her professional background includes significant roles at South Carolina State University, where she managed social media content and served as a primary statistician for various sports.

Quinn Gray, Sr., Head Football Coach at Albany State and a member of the search committee, also expressed his enthusiasm for Peay’s hiring: “Terica’s skills and dedication will definitely #MoveTheNeedle for us. We’re glad to have her on board.”

Ms. Peay holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Keller Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a concentration in Sports Management from Johnson C. Smith University. Her professional journey includes significant roles in game day operations, sports media relations, and strategic communications planning.
