DAWSON — Down 11-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh, the Lady Eagles of Terrell Academy put together a huge rally with five runs in the bottom of the inning, but fell short 11-9 against Fullington Academy on their home field in Dawson Monday.

“Walks and errors continue to get us,” said head coach Tim Mears.

The Lady Eagles actually out hit Fullington 7-6 but the walks and errors made the difference for Fullington.

Shortstop Bella Nagy led the team at the plate with three hits and three runs batted in. Catcher Emma Lane smacked two hits and knocked in two runs. Taylor Powell and Sydney Lord had the other two hits.

Madison Harris took the loss on the mound. She pitched 4 2/3 innings giving up six hits and 11 runs, six of which were earned. Nagy pitched 2 1/3 innings in relief.

The Lady Eagles will be back in action Monday in Sylvester against Worth County. First pitch is set for 5:30.
